Geofences
Geofences are specially marked areas on the map which can be separately monitored closely for vehicle activity. The entry to and exit from these areas can be specially monitored and forms the basis of reports such as Arrival/Departure reports.
In Vertex IFMS, a trip is the distance traveled by the vehicle between a vehicle start and a vehicle stop. As against a Trip report which is a list of such trips, with the clever use of geofences, the arrival and departure of your vehicles from predetermined locations such as your work sites or delivery destinations can be monitored. Site Journey report can be made available which will give you the arrival/departure details of your vehicles to/from these sites. Contact our Support for help in setting up the geofences and associated reports.
In the "Geofence" module, tick the check box of the geofence to display it on the map.
Please note that displaying too many geofences at the same time on the map can considerably slow down your browser and can even lead to a crash of the browser.
